First Unit Production Services was established in 1989 and has been steadily growing ever since. What started as a small tungsten van package with the name “Second Unit,” quickly grew into a company based in multiple locations (Tampa and Orlando) with several 5-ton lighting & grip rental packages and an ever-expanding array of high-quality gear. At First Unit, the team strives to not only provide the best maintained and most current lighting and grip rental gear on the market, but also accommodate clients with the great customer service they pride themselves on. They are available to help productions in any way, be it assisting in finding seasoned, talented crew, or just answering questions and providing advice that their 25 plus years of experience allow. No matter whether it's a large national commercial project, or just a need to rent a couple of lights and stands, they have the tools and the knowledge to help see that the production is a successful one.
