Asset Library

Definition

An Asset Library is a centralized, organized repository of all the digital assets owned or licensed by an organization, including images, videos, audio files, documents, templates, and other creative materials. A well-maintained asset library, typically managed through a Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, ensures that team members can quickly find and access the right assets, prevents the duplication of effort, and ensures that only approved, on-brand assets are used in marketing materials.

Contextual Usage

The creative operations manager tells the team, "Before you start creating new assets for the campaign, please check the Asset Library first. We may already have photography or video footage that can be repurposed, which will save us significant time and budget."
